Decided to check this place out and try the meridian chicken sandwich and let me tell yall, it was delicious! The staff was very friendly and funny. Would definitely go back when I'm in Boston again!
I dropped by after hearing about it on the Phantom Gourmet. This homemade Italian cuisine is fantastic for the entire family, and the service is friendly, always greeting you with a smile. The food is amazing, particularly the chicken Caesar, Meridian special, meatballs, and chicken limon, but honestly, everything I've tasted is outstanding. The interior has a very cozy feel as well!
Chicken cutlet/ broccoli rabe and provolone. Excellent sandwich. Good portion of food. Nice people behind the counter. Small spot but has a couple places to sit and eat. Sandy with bottle water cost me about 20 bucks. Worth it. 5 stars.
By far THE BEST Italian Tuna salad! It's family owned and the food is made from scratch. Perfect spot to pick up a quick lunch and head to the park! Seating is limited.
Food is excellent in this family run restaurant. Specializing in subs but dinner is excellent also. Limited seats so go early. Is a family run business with owner always around and a very quick turnaround from ordering to getting food. Staff seems to be there a long term so owner I assume treats them well and everyone is very accomadationg. Chicken Parm and eggplant parm are pure perfection as sauce, bread and cheese are in right proportions. if he ever open in Central Square in Cambridge would make a killing ....please don't retire or change as so much has happen in East Boston so I am hopping you are around for decades to come....

Meridian special is the greatest sandwich in the United States of America, the people are wicked nice and the cutlets are always without fat and cooked to perfection.
Tasty, amazing portions & get your money worth! First off the people working there are awesome. Now when it comes to the food, I can only speak for the caprese sub, as it is the only thing I always get. It's always made with love and filled with delicious ingredients. Never a regret always a great experience!
